We are looking for a Senior Applications Administrator to join our team in Bucharest.

Key responsibilities

  • Support and maintenance of Line of Business banking applications that are essential to running a customer business

  • Provide support the ongoing implementation projects

  • Produce technical documentations, release notes, user guides and training materials for banking applications

  • Providing technical direction and expertise in areas of request fulfilment and incident management in accordance to SLA

  • Troubleshooting a complex transactional application system based on MS SQL

  • Investigate, diagnose and solve application-related problems.

  • Design, implement and maintain functional reports in Visual Studio, Reporting Services

  • Maintain knowledge database and ensure the structured documentation of processes, solution procedures, checklists.

Skills and experience

Skills and experience

  • University Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Engineering

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant IT experience, working with SQL database and SQL driven applications.

  • In-depth knowledge of application support as well as experience in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, C #)

  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft products and Microsoft SQL Server tools

  • Good experience of writing new complex Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers & Views and having a good knowledge of analyzing the business logic of existing SP’s.

  • Good experience of creating SSRS reports, change/update existing SSRS reports

  • Good experience of creating new SSIS packages, change/update existing SSIS packages

  • Understanding of core banking applications and banking business processes

  • Experience in the analysis, testing and maintenance of application systems based on .NET Framework, IIS, Windows Services

  • Open to gain knowledge and work with DevOps methodologies and Public Cloud services, like Microsoft Azure; any previous experience would be an advantage

  • Good command of English, both spoken and written

  • Strong in analysis and communication

  • Self-starter, well organized and motivated

  • Ability to work under pressure and establish priorities

  • Desire to learn and develop skills further

  • Customer service skills, including the ability to manage and respond to different customer situations while maintaining a positive and friendly attitude are essential.

  • Organizational and problem-solving skills, a can-do attitude, and the ability to adjust to changing requirements are essential.

  • Knowledge of ITIL and Ticketing Systems

  • Communicative, friendly, customer-oriented and a team player

  • Responsible and reliable

  • Willingness to mentor and coach other team-members
