In partnership with FintechOS, we developed an innovative digital onboarding solution for ProCredit Bank Kosovo, transforming how customers open bank accounts. By seamlessly integrating the bank’s Mobile Banking Application and website, we introduced a digital-first account opening journey.

The process includes essential steps such as identity verification and signing contracts with a qualified digital signature, enabling customers to complete the entire process securely, efficiently, and in just a few minutes, all without visiting a branch. This solution delivers a modern, omnichannel experience, setting a new standard for convenience and flexibility in banking.

By reducing the need for physical paperwork and in-person interactions, digital onboarding speeds up the process of assessing new customers, and most importantly prevents the loss of potential clients in the latter phases of the client-acquiring process.

Digital onboarding solutions often include advanced features like facial biometrics and liveness detection, which enhance security and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. This is particularly important for financial institutions that need to adhere to strict Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations.

Challenges

Timing was a pivotal challenge in this project. It was imperative to go live at the earliest possible moment to ensure the bank remained at the forefront of the market with this new service. All technical activities and integrations had to be carefully completed, imposing regular follow-ups, extensive support from all technical teams, and efficient project management for every related task.

Despite these challenges, the coordinated efforts with the Bank and partner led to the successful realization of the project.

By offering an omnichannel approach and meeting critical deadlines, we have established a new benchmark for banking services in the region.

Our approach

Building on our experience from implementing the Digital Onboarding process for ProCredit Bank Romania, we carefully managed every step of the project for ProCredit Bank Kosovo to ensure its success. Collaboration was key—we worked closely with skilled partners to bring the right expertise and support to the table.

Leveraging a low-code platform allowed us to streamline the integration of multiple systems and simplify the development process. This approach enabled us to adapt quickly to the bank’s specific requirements, ensuring a tailored solution that met both their operational goals and customer expectations.

The new onboarding process was designed to offer convenience and security. ProCredit Bank customers can now:

  • Sign contracts electronically, removing the need to visit a branch.
